 1 Capacity comparison experiment


1.1 Test equipment: For the convenience of comparison, two rubber cutters with exactly the same shear force were used for comparison. That is, one 100KN guillotine type glue cutting machine and one 100KN drum type glue cutting machine;


1.2 Test raw material: styrene-butadiene rubber block (SBR1712), each block has a net weight of 35 kg; its cross-sectional size: 500×110, length is about 650; test raw material quantity: 10 packs;


1.3 Purpose of the test: Cut 10 packs of test materials along their section into rubber sheets with a thickness of about 20-40mm. Compare the time and productivity required for shearing with these two devices.


1.4 Test method:


1) Guillotine glue cutting machine:


Put the test material flat on the roller on the surface of the workbench at a suitable position, start the hydraulic system, and the guillotine moves downward to cut off the test material from the section, then lift the guillotine to complete a cut; move the test material to the position of the guillotine for 20 ~40mm, start the movement of the guillotine, cut the test raw material from the cross section, and complete the second shearing; in turn, you need to repeat the above operations for about 30 times to complete the shearing of a pack of test raw materials.


In order to make the test data more accurate and realistic, the operation was repeated with 10 packs of test raw materials, and the average value of the required time was taken.


The average time required for shearing work per package of test raw materials is listed as follows:


a. Place the test material flat on the rollers on the surface of the workbench in a suitable position for 32s

b. Start the hydraulic system, and the guillotine moves downward to cut off the test material from the section to complete the first shearing for 11.5s

c. Move the test material to the guillotine position by about 20~40mm for 18.5s

d. Start the hydraulic system, and the guillotine moves downward, cutting off the test material from the section to complete the second shearing for 11.8s

e. Repeat steps c and d above to complete the next 30 cuts 909s


According to the statistics of the above data, the time required to complete the shearing work of each package of test raw materials is: 952.5 seconds.


2) Roller glue cutting machine:


Start the motor to start working, place the test raw material in the material guide trough from top to bottom, and under the action of the shearing pair formed by the hob and the roller, the rubber blocks are cut off continuously and fall into the material receiving trough. The thickness of the cut rubber block is automatically controlled by the machine. The time required to complete the shearing work of each package of test raw materials is as follows


Repeat the above operation with 10 packs of test raw materials, and take the average value of the required time.


a. Manually place the test raw materials in the feed trough from top to bottom for 26s

b. The drum type rubber cutting machine automatically completes the cutting of a pack of test raw materials for 15s

According to the statistics of the above data, the time required to complete the shearing work of a pack of test raw materials is: 41s.


3) Test results:


It takes 952.5 seconds for the guillotine glue cutter to complete the cutting work of each package of test raw materials;

It takes 41s for the drum type rubber cutter to complete the shearing work of each package of test raw materials.

Compared with the two, the time required to complete the shearing work of each package of test raw materials differs by nearly 23s;

The comparison of the cutting effect shows that the thickness of the drum-type rubber cutter is uniform, and the thickness deviation of the guillotine-type glue cutter is relatively large.


4) Reason analysis:


The guillotine type glue cutting machine adopts manual operation throughout the cutting process, while the drum type glue cutting machine only adopts manual operation when loading each package, and other links are automatically controlled by the machine. Therefore, the slicing efficiency is high; since the thickness of the guillotine-type glue cutting machine is completely controlled by manually pushing the rubber block, the deviation is relatively large; while the roller-type glue cutting machine is completely controlled by the machine, which is related to the speed of the machine and the structure of the drum , the deviation is small.
